Jim Sweeney is the managing broker for Riviera Realty. In addition, he is a practicing attorney concentrating in civil litigation, family law, business and, of course, real estate. He lived on the Westside for many years and has been a member of the Riviera Tennis Club for over 30 years.

Continuously licensed as a broker since 1979, Jim began in real estate with the Jon Douglas Company in its Beverly Hills and Brentwood offices. Later, he became general manager of U.S. Brokerage in Beverly Hills, returning to the Douglas company in the early 1990s. He is experienced in both residential and commercial real property transactions. His work history includes acting as a consultant to a real estate investment group, the real estate partner for an investment banking firm and CEO and chairman of an international public corporation.

Jim has a B.A in English literature and a J.D. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, being discharged as a staff sergeant. He is married and has five children.
